Who can become a Freedom Hero?

Everyone you think has done something extraordinary for your community, and needs support from her/his fellow citizens.

Your nominee is:

living in your country
active in fighting for human rights issues that matter in your community//country, no matter how big or small the fight is
passionate about her/his work and dedicated to it
being subject to oppression from the authorities or other power holders in your community/society
not giving up on the fight!

The Freedom Heroes will be selected among those that were nominated by the international jury comprised of prominent human rights activists. One Freedom Hero per country will be selected.
